Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our growing team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for diverse clients across various industries
- Conduct detailed tax research on issues such as estate planning, securities law, and non-profit accounting to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies
- Assist with complex tax planning projects including mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to tax positions and financial statements
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective tax strategies that align with their financial goals and regulatory requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory standards impacting taxation
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar tools for accurate financial statement preparation and account reconciliation
Skills
- Extensive experience in tax accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation
- Proficiency in financial analysis, report writing, and interpretation of financial statements
- Solid knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance standards across various sectors including non-profit organizations and public accounting firms
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as asset management, budgeting, investment analysis, payroll processing, and financial planning
- Expertise in specialized areas like estate planning, wills & trusts law, securities law, auditing, and technical accounting practices
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial management
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial report interpretation
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex financial concepts to clients or team members
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
