Duties

  • Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson planning, and instructional support to ensure a dynamic learning environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive caregiving and behavior management strategies
  • Help supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, mealtimes, nap times, and transitions to maintain safety and order
  • Implement classroom routines and activities that foster early childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, infant care, and special education programs
  • Provide first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all children
  • Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance under supervision
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior reports, and developmental progress to support ongoing assessments

Skills

  • Experience working with children in preschool, daycare, nannying or babysitting roles; familiarity with early childhood education principles is highly valued
  • Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices for working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
  • Strong classroom management skills to promote positive behavior and engagement among young learners
  • Ability to provide infant care, toddler care, and childcare in diverse settings while maintaining patience and compassion
  • First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification promptly; understanding of health protocols for young children
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to support behavior management strategies and create a nurturing environment that encourages growth

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
