Position Overview

We are looking for a compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and energetic Teacher Assistant cum Nanny to join our Growing Blauras team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and believes that teaching children how to understand, express, and regulate their emotions is just as important as academic learning.

The successful candidate will support classroom activities, provide attentive childcare, and create meaningful learning experiences that encourage emotional awareness, kindness, confidence, and positive social interactions.

Key ResponsibilitiesChild Development

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
• Foster emotional intelligence by helping children identify, express, and manage their emotions.
• Encourage empathy, kindness, resilience, confidence, and positive communication.
• Guide children in resolving conflicts calmly and respectfully.
• Promote independence while providing reassurance and emotional support.

Classroom Support

• Assist in preparing learning materials and classroom activities.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
• Observe children's emotional, social, and developmental progress and communicate concerns to teachers.

Childcare & Nanny Duties

• Assist children with meals, hygiene, toileting, dressing, and daily routines.
• Comfort children who may feel anxious or upset using gentle and positive approaches.
• Maintain children's safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Build trusting relationships with both children and parents.

Parent Engagement

• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's daily activities and wellbeing.
• Support Blaura's holistic philosophy by encouraging positive emotional development at home and within the center.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Teacher Assistant, Nursery Assistant, Nanny, or Childcare Professional.
• Knowledge of child development and positive behavior guidance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage.
