Teacher Assistant Toddler
Location: Paramus, NJ
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 6:30 pm
3:00 pm - 6:30 pm
As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.
As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students

Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans

Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication

Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
-
Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED

CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

A genuine love of children.

Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children

An understanding of health and safety guidelines.

Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
