Job Description: Science TeacherPosition: Science TeacherDepartment: AcademicsReporting To: Head of Department / PrincipalRoles & Responsibilities:
- Teach Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology / General Science) as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lesson plans aligned with academic standards.
- Conduct practicals, experiments, and demonstrations in the science laboratory following safety norms.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and develop scientific thinking among students.
- Assess students through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and board examinations (if applicable).
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ academic performance.
- Follow school rules, academic calendar, and institutional policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with specialization in relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory/preferred as per school norms).
- Prior teaching experience in a recognized school is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong subject knowledge and practical demonstration skills.
- Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts.
- Effective classroom and laboratory management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with smart boards, digital tools, and modern teaching methods.
