Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers with planning and executing daily lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and social skills.
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
• Work directly with students, including those with disabilities or autism, providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques.
• Help with childcare duties such as supervising activities, managing routines, and ensuring student safety at all times.
• Provide mentoring and tutoring to students who need extra help with reading, writing, or math skills.
• Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student progress and behavioral observations.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or similar settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly valued.
• Experience in Montessori or private school environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
• Proven ability to work well with children of diverse backgrounds and developmental needs.
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a passion for mentoring young learners. Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
