Position Overview
The Team Lead is tasked with performing the daily operational practices of running the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizing shift schedules for team members
- Monitoring attendance, tardiness and time off
- Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills
- Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
- Managing employees’ requests and transgressions
- Training new and current team members on tasks
- Handling customer issues and managing conflicts
- Adhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standards
- Balancing cash drawers and preparing cash deposits
Additional Tasks:
- Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services to them; take and process wash payments to the satisfaction of customers and car wash
- Perform cleaning of facility and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, and grease gun)
- Provide assistance to customers in any area concerning car wash process
- Move or direct cars into the express wash tunnel with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude
- Points to directional sign; neutral, no-brake, no steering while watching the customer to ensure directions are followed.
- Smiles at customer and does thumbs up after guest is in neutral with no brakes
- Carry out visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area
- Ensure company policies and safety procedures are adhered to in carrying out given tasks daily
- Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung
- With a sense of urgency, ensure the right thing is done at the right time with customers, home office, and fellow teammates.
Qualifications:
- Ability to display courteous and professional attitude
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure optimum customer satisfaction
- Strong ability to work flexible hours, such as evenings and weekends
- Ability to work standing over long periods of time
- Ability to lift items of moderate weight
- Ability to work outdoor and be efficient in all weather conditions
- Ability to interact ethically with fellow employees and customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to handle the physical demand of the job
- Ability to follow directions and correctly implement tasks.
- Car wash locations can create wet hazardous conditions and safety precautions should be met for safety and compliance
