You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs. You will ensure Amazon policies - including attendance tracking - are implemented and administered fairly and consistently. This includes motivating, coaching, reporting, and providing feedback on associates' performance - including productivity, quality, and safety - as a means for achieving or exceeding Amazon expectations. The Team Lead will address discipline and/or performance issues for FC Associates, including up to termination. In addition, you will work in partnership with third-party delivery providers to ensure Amazon standards are met in accordance with service contracts.

We're seeking a Team Lead for our FC operations. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Managing, on a daily basis, end-to-end operations for either one large site, executing inbound and outbound operations, coordinating workflows, and ensuring timely shipping to meet customer delivery promises.
  2. Driving performance management of team members, preparing and implementing training and development plans for associates.
  3. Continuously improving the delivery process and achieving sustained performance improvements.
  4. Conducting 4M and 5S audits daily at the delivery station.
  5. Standing in for the Area Manager as needed.
  6. Managing day and night shifts.
  7. Consolidating information to determine daily load plans and adjusting as necessary.
  8. Monitoring routing solutions and making decisions on deliveries outside normal routing matrices.
  9. Leading order batching strategies to ensure efficiency and customer experience.
  10. Allocating labor, leading meetings, and assigning duties to FC Associates.
  11. Performing problem-solving across all areas to ensure smooth operations.
  12. Training, auditing, and supporting FC Associates in standard operating procedures and equipment use.
  13. Ensuring FC associates have proper tools and coordinating repairs or replacements.
  14. Communicating with internal and external suppliers.
  15. Reporting and escalating systemic issues promptly.
  16. Participating in safety and operational excellence initiatives, identifying and resolving hazards.
  17. Understanding processes and daily goals, recommending performance improvements.
  18. Performing administrative duties and supporting various FC areas as needed.
  19. Supporting other fulfillment centers as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in an operational role
