Job Summary: Responsible for supervising a team within the finishing department.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct and manage team members and equipment within the finishing department on a daily basis.

Assist the Finishing Production Supervisor in ensuring all production schedule demands are met.

Ensure all products meet established quality specifications and KMC standards of excellence.
-
Train, evaluate performance, and coach personnel within the guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook.
-
Monitor the team and equipment to ensure safe, correct, and efficient operation at all times.
-
Identify improvement opportunities and proactively recommend solutions to the Finishing Production Supervisor.
-
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
-
Maximize product throughput by minimizing waste, reducing costs, and improving process flow.
Qualifications:
-
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Should have knowledge of, or ability to use, the following machines and/or equipment: tape measure, saws, drill, and hand tools.

Must have mathematical skills to take measurements on cabinets and materials.
-
Must have reading skills to read parts lists and product details.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
-
Experience in cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, or a finishing/paint environment.
-
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, standard work, and waste reduction (Kaizen).
-
OSHA safety training, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification, or equivalent safety credentials.
-
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members and build a positive team culture.
-
Knowledge of finishing processes including staining, spraying, glazing, or paint application is a strong plus.
-
Experience with quality control inspection methods and defect identification/escalation procedures.
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus in our diverse production environment.
