Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Technical Business Developer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, initiating outreach via email and calls, nurturing prospects into warm leads, and seamlessly handing them over to the US-based sales team.
Additionally, the role includes active involvement in proposal development, technical documentation, and coordination between technical and sales teams to support revenue growth.
This position requires strong communication skills, understanding of technical solutions (IT/software/services), and the ability to bridge technical capabilities with business needs.
Key Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify potential clients through market research, LinkedIn, industry platforms, databases, and outbound prospecting tools.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects across target industries and geographies (primarily US market).
- Research companies, decision-makers, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects and activities in CRM systems.
2. Outreach & Lead Nurturing
- Initiate contact via cold emails, LinkedIn outreach, and outbound calls.
- Develop customized messaging aligned with prospect pain points and company services.
- Qualify leads through structured discovery conversations.
- Build rapport and generate interest to create warm leads.
- Schedule meetings and demos for the US-based sales team.
- Ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities with complete background information.
3. Technical Consultation Support
- Understand company technical offerings (e.g., software development, cloud services, AI, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, etc.).
- Translate technical solutions into business value propositions.
- Assist prospects in understanding technical capabilities at a high level during early conversations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to clarify scope and feasibility.
4. Proposal Development & Documentation
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOW), RFP responses, capability statements, and pitch decks.
- Coordinate with technical, finance, and management teams for proposal inputs.
- Ensure proposals are professionally written, structured, and submitted within deadlines.
- Customize proposals based on client-specific requirements.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Identify new verticals and geographic expansion opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management regarding lead quality and market response.
- Contribute to business development strategies for US market penetration.
6. CRM & Reporting
- Maintain CRM hygiene and update lead status regularly.
- Generate weekly and monthly pipeline reports.
- Track KPIs such as outreach volume, response rate, qualified leads, and conversion metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or B2B lead generation (preferably IT/technology sector).
- Experience targeting US or international markets is highly preferred.
- Experience of Healthcare IT and Government Tech is a big plus.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and/or IT services.
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Understanding of IT/software services business models.
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with proposal writing and RFP processes.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and email outreach tools is a plus.
