As a part of Epta Group, Epta Turkey is continue to their manufacturing operations based in Avrupa Serbest Bolgesi / since 2007 and improving the production capacity and headcount.
In line with growing organisation in Turkiye, we are looking for new teammates as “ Technical Purchasing Engineer” who will be under Purchasing & Procurement Department.
Job Purpose
The Technical Purchasing Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technical materials, components, and equipment that meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This role involves working closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to ensure that purchased items align with technical specifications and production needs. The Technical Purchasing Engineer plays a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers while driving cost optimization and ensuring supply chain reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sourcing & Procurement
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on technical capability, quality standards, and commercial terms.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure purchased materials meet required standards.
- Request, analyze, and negotiate quotations to achieve optimal cost, quality, and lead times.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and qualifying new sources.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations in collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
Cost & Process Optimization
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best total value for the company.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering, process improvement, or alternative sourcing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to align purchasing decisions with operational needs.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time delivery of purchased items.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier performance data.
Requirements
- Minimum B1 level English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Preferably SAP) and MS Office applications.
