Technical Sales Manager – Pumps & Compressors Division

Role Objective

We are looking for a Sales Powerhouse with a technical backbone. At MISL, "selling" isn't just about technical specifications; it’s about aggressive market penetration, relationship management, and closing high-value indenting contracts. You will be the face of our foreign principals, responsible for converting technical inquiries into confirmed orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aggressive Business Development: Identify and penetrate key industrial sectors (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Water) to create demand for our principals' pumps and compressors.
  • The "Closer" Mindset: Move beyond technical consultancy. Lead the entire sales cycle from lead generation and site visits to commercial negotiations and final order placement.
  • Principal Management: Act as the primary bridge between MISL and our foreign partners. Ensure their sales targets are met and provide them with accurate market intelligence.
  • Indenting Excellence: Manage the complexities of indenting sales, including understanding L/Cs, shipping terms, and foreign exchange nuances relevant to the Pakistani market.
  • Technical Vetting: Conduct initial technical appraisals of client requirements to ensure the right product fit, then pivot immediately to the commercial pitch.
  • Competitor Analysis: Keep a hawk-eye on rival brands and indentors to ensure MISL remains the preferred choice for industrial procurement.

Candidate Requirements

  • The DNA: A rare blend of an Engineer’s mind and a Salesman’s heart. You must be comfortable "getting your hands dirty" on-site and "talking numbers" in the boardroom.
  • Experience: 3+ years in technical sales, specifically within the rotating equipment (Pumps/Compressors) sector in Pakistan.
  • Education: B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. An MBA in Marketing/Sales is a significant advantage.
  • Communication: Exceptional English and Urdu communication skills. You must be able to persuade both a plant engineer and a procurement director.
  • Network: An existing portfolio of contacts within major Pakistani industrial buyers (e.g., OGDCL, PPL, Engro, Fauji Group).
