Chedid Insurance Brokers, a company member of Chedid Insurance Brokers Network, the insurance broking network of Chedid Capital, is looking for a Technical Supervisor. The role focuses on assessing insurance proposals and production of draft quotes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Underwriting is within the company’s underwriting guidelines & authorized limits.
  • Evaluate risks & take decisions on contracts/policy considering restrictions/rates according to authorization level.
  • Identify new insurable risks that can posit new opportunities to the company and support in devising the insurance solution for them.
  • Receive and analyzes submissions and determines terms to offer (policy limits, deductibles, coverage options and conditions, etc.).
  • Issue quotations & review them for new & renewal accounts.
  • Conduct investigations of new and existing accounts through business owners when required
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable service & quality standards & the relevant regulations.
  • Service new & existing Clients and Brokers.
  • Manage policy documentation (issuing policies, endorsements, certificates) to meet customer requirements.
  • Make renewal calls and follow up of renewals with brokers.
  • Issue notice to brokers & regularly follow up with sales department/ brokers/ etc. on status of pending quotations, in coordination with account managers
  • Support, participate or lead projects aside of the daily operation.
  • Review of all pending claims and keep customer service posted on pending claims, in coordination with the claims department
  • Attend the grievances of claimants updated from customer service.
  • Reject or accept documentation, determine benefit due, and start the denial or payment process to resolve claims, in coordination with the claims department,
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and guidelines in addition to the regulatory laws and regulations.
  • Ensure all claims information remains confidential.
  • Survey markets and update different stakeholders with any changes or updates or new trends
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers and coworkers to attract and retain profitable business.
  • Visit producers and insureds in order to retain existing accounts, survey exposures, build and maintain business relationships and develop new opportunities in support of divisional objectives.
  • Interpret, explain and market products and services.
  • Prepare effective internal and external communications on underwriting issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for the performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions performance management, etc., for direct reports
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent in a similar field
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certificate is preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the same field or a similar field
