Overview
The Technical Supply Chain Specialist is primarily responsible for procurement while also supporting customer service as needed. This role requires close collaboration with the production and sales departments.
The ideal candidate should have 2-3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment. They should have a demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of materials.
Purchasing Responsibilities
· Send Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers
· Place purchase orders and interface with the supplier base to ensure on-time delivery
· Coordinate shipments and prepare all required freight documentation
· Pursue cost-saving initiatives
· Generate labels for received materials
· Maintain required documentation, files, and records for received materials
Customer Service Responsibilities
· Handle and direct general sales calls
· Generate quotations for customers
· Write up orders placed via phone call and email
· Communicate product literature and safety data sheets to customers
Required Background
· 2-3+ years of experience in procurement
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Good math and typing skills, preferably >40 WPMS
· Good written and verbal communication
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
