The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential IT support to our staff, ensuring our technological infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently to support our industry-leading construction projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line technical support to all employees, responding to IT queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues, both remotely and in person.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
* Assist with the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms.
* Support and maintain specialised construction software, including BIM and design applications.
* Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets and manage equipment procurement.
* Create and update technical documentation, guides, and IT policies.
* Escalate complex issues to senior team members or external vendors when necessary.
* Contribute to IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a technical support role, such as an IT Support Technician or Helpdesk Analyst.
* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software systems, and network configurations.
* Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* A customer-focused attitude with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* A relevant degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience within the construction industry or with software like BIM or AutoCAD would be a significant advantage.
