Robert Quinn Ltd, one of Ireland's leading construction companies, is seeking a dedicated and proficient Technical Support Specialist to join our team. With a distinguished history of nearly 50 years, we specialise in delivering high-quality commercial, retail, healthcare, and educational projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential IT support to our staff, ensuring our technological infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently to support our industry-leading construction projects.

Responsibilities

* Provide first and second-line technical support to all employees, responding to IT queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues, both remotely and in person.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
* Assist with the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms.
* Support and maintain specialised construction software, including BIM and design applications.
* Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets and manage equipment procurement.
* Create and update technical documentation, guides, and IT policies.
* Escalate complex issues to senior team members or external vendors when necessary.
* Contribute to IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a technical support role, such as an IT Support Technician or Helpdesk Analyst.
* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software systems, and network configurations.
* Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* A customer-focused attitude with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* A relevant degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience within the construction industry or with software like BIM or AutoCAD would be a significant advantage.
