Telecom Costing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Telecom Costing to deliver accurate and compliant financial and regulatory reporting. This role ensures adherence to Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) requirements while supporting internal decision-making through advanced costing, profitability modeling, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain regulatory costing methodologies (FAC HCA, CCA, LRIC) in line with CRA and global best practices.

• Build and maintain cost models for Statement of Accounts and retail/wholesale pricing justifications.

• Support commercial cost and profitability models at customer and product levels.

• Optimize SAP systems (SAP FICO, S/4HANA Finance, SAP Analytics Cloud) for regulatory and financial reporting.

• Automate data collection using SAP BI, ERP platforms, and network management systems.

• Ensure data quality and completeness for financial and regulatory models.

• Calculate and validate regulatory fees with approved methodologies.

• Conduct cost optimization studies and drive automation/analytics with AI, ML, and big data.

• Collaborate with internal teams, CRA, auditors, consultants, and system vendors.

• Provide financial insights to senior leadership for pricing, profitability, and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.

• 5–8 years of experience in telecom finance and regulatory costing.

• Strong knowledge of costing methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and financial modeling.

• Proficiency in SAP (FICO, S/4HANA Finance, Analytics Cloud).

• Hands-on experience with CostPerform and ETL/data extraction platforms.

• Working knowledge of data visualization tools.

• Exposure to AI, ML, and big data for financial analytics and automation.

• Knowledge of regional/international telecom markets is a plus.
