Key responsibilities
- Prospecting and lead generation: Conduct outbound calls and use online platforms to identify and connect with potential clients, such as trucking companies, owner-operators, and brokers.
- Sales and closing: Clearly communicate the features and benefits of dispatching services, pitch solutions, negotiate rates, and close sales deals.
- Relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Achieve targets: Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales targets for client onboarding and revenue generation.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and deals in a CRM or other tracking system.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the dispatching team to ensure smooth operations and that client needs for load booking and delivery are met.
- Market awareness: Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
- Customer support: Provide post-sale support by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience in telesales, with a preference for logistics or a similar field.
- Excellent verbal communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Results-oriented with a self-motivated and confident attitude.
- Ability to work independently to achieve sales goals.
- Understanding of the trucking and logistics industry is a plus.
