We’re looking for an experienced Teller to join our Michigan City Branch as a Member Sales Representative I. In this front-line role, you’ll work directly with members behind the teller line, providing exceptional service while accurately handling daily financial transactions.

This position is ideal for someone who already has teller-line experience and enjoys helping members with their financial needs in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Serve members face-to-face behind the teller line by processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check transactions
• Maintain full responsibility for an individual cash drawer, including daily balancing and proofing
• Accurately handle cash, coin, and negotiable items in accordance with policies and procedures
• Build strong member relationships through friendly, professional service and proactive support
• Identify member needs and promote appropriate credit union products and services
• Verify member identities, monitor transactions, and follow fraud prevention and security protocols
• Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure compliance with banking regulations
• Work collaboratively with branch staff to deliver a consistent, positive member experience

Required Experience & Qualifications

This role requires direct teller experience.

• Minimum 1 year of Teller experience at a bank or credit union
• Experience working behind the teller line with personal cash drawer responsibility
• Daily balancing and cash handling experience required
• High-volume, in-person member transaction experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with basic math and cash
• Comfort using financial systems and performing accurate data entry
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Please Note:
Roles such as bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or back-office financial positions do not meet the teller experience requirement for this position.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional financial services training or certification is a plus
