Temporary Cook at Renton Childcare

Learning Land is an independently owned and operated daycare/preschool in King County looking to hire a temporary cook/chef. Starting immediately, the position will last 2-4 months.

This position is responsible for kitchen responsibilities and supports center management with daily operations such as answering the phones, giving bathroom breaks, and general cleaning. This position reports directly to the Center Director.

On a daily/weekly basis kitchen staff will:

cook and prep meals & snacks
generate menus
complete inventory

place grocery pickup/delivery orders

cleaning and sanitizing kitchen area
fill-in classroom settings as needed

Job expectations also include: Getting your Food Handlers permit, passing a criminal background check, managing kitchen compliance with USDA standards, company expectations, and any licensing regulations.

We are in need of someone with a positive attitude, who is dependable and flexible. This individual must have professionalism, leadership skills, ability to multi-task, and excellent time management. You must feel comfortable around children, be in good health, be able to stand for eight hours, lift up to 35 pounds when needed. You need to have a reliable car with up to date insurance.

Monday-Friday, 5:45 am-2:15 pm; times can vary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
