Tendering & Estimation Engineer For (Road Works, Earthworks, Infrastructure)

Required experienced within UAE - Tendring & Estimation Engineer with minimum 5 years in (Road Works, Earthworks, Infrastructure, and Utilities) who will be responsible for directing company-wide estimating & tendering and all associated activities related to tender preparation and submittal.

Establish and implement “best practices” and focuses on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

· Prepare projects’ pricing for Road Works & Infrastructure and utilities and turnkey projects.

· Provide different options to optimize the design and provide the most competitive price.

· Ensure getting the best price that will win the contract, while ensuring that the contract can be carried out profitably.

· Meeting submissions deadline.

· Updating BOQ templates, incorporating accurate calculation formulae and providing a professional presentation of the cost estimate.

· Update price lists regularly to secure the most competitive costs from subcontractors and suppliers both locally and internationally.

· Create a database of materials, prices, different suppliers and subcontractors.

· Conduct market analysis and collect competitor prices to assure prices provided are within market average.

· Work closely with Sales & Engineering Department to collect the required data for tender preparation/submissions.

· Prepare projects’ schedule and plan.

· Provide sales support and attend meetings with the sales team as required.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

· Additional experience in civil construction, Infrastructure, Road, & utilities will be an advantage.

· Expert knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts, FIDIC and UAE standards and regulations.

· Strong MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of construction estimating. software programs.

· Market survey/analysis and establishing contacts.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
