Terminal Operations Officer

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing customs clearance and inventory management for IMGS. The

role involves direct interaction with customers, transporters, vendors, shipping &

clearing agents, and port authorities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations,

HSE standards, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Customs & Documentation:

  • Prepare and manage all customs documentation and clearance for import and export shipments.
  • Handle customs documentation, clearance, and filing for shipments.
  • Manage equipment documentation, clearance, and maintenance.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of yearly OFC documentation.

Terminal & Operations Management:

  • Supervise bulk cargo vessel operations, including customs documentation and on-site supervision.
  • Coordinate with teams in Middle East & Africa during operations.
  • Prepare daily port reports and share with clients.
  • Control costs both technical and operational.
  • Maintain terminal facilities and ensure adherence to HSE safety and awareness standards.
  • Manage terminal maintenance on a regular basis.

Inventory & Staff Management:

  • Maintain complete inventory records of cargoes and equipment.
  • Provide quarterly training to staff and maintain training records.
  • Manage labor planning, timesheets, and daily operational reports.
  • Ensure HSE policies are followed by all team members.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Directly interact with customers, transporters, clearing agents, vendors, port authorities, and customs as required.

  • Share daily operational reports and updates with clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years UAE port expereince.
  • Proven experience in customs documentation, clearance, and operations.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HSE policies and terminal safety management.
  • Experience in inventory control, report preparation, and staff supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and operations across different locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience with international shipments and multi-country coordination.
