Job Description:

Volcano Japanese Cuisine, an upscale Japanese dining destination known for its exquisite cuisine, ambiance and exceptional service, is seeking a warm, professional, and highly organized Guest Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is passionate about delivering an unforgettable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• pack togo orders and finish all the togo side work

Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred (especially in Japanese cuisine)

• Strong communication skills and friendly attitude with guests in person and over the phone
• Ability to handle high-volume orders accurately and efficiently
• Basic knowledge of Japanese menu items (sushi rolls, hibachi, appetizers) or willingness to learn quickly
• Must be detail-oriented when packaging orders (correct items, sauces, utensils, presentation)
• Ability to use POS system for order entry and payment processing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the to-go station at all times
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Team player—assist servers, kitchen staff, and management when needed
• Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Availability for weekends, holidays, and dinner shifts
• Must follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
