Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated teacher to join our childcare center. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and creating engaging learning experiences. This role involves working closely with toddlers, implementing age-appropriate activities, and ensuring a safe and stimulating classroom setting. Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or related fields is highly valued. Candidates should possess strong classroom management skills and a genuine love for working with children. A background in special education or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. All positions are paid, including internships.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored to toddlers’ needs and interests
  • Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and behaviors
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages exploration and learning
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
  • Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions smoothly
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, behavior management, and early education best practices

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential
  • Experience with classroom management techniques for young children is highly desirable
  • Certification in first aid and CPR
  • Background in special education or working with children with disabilities enhances candidacy
  • Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving infants or toddlers is beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging educational activities that support early childhood learning goals

Hours are 8:30-5:30 or 8:00-5:00 pm with a one hour lunch break.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
