Toddler Teacher Assistant

Job Overview

In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for toddlers. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to toddler exploration and learning.
• Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and other age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity.
• Help monitor children’s health and safety by observing behavior, administering basic first aid when necessary, and following all safety protocols.
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, sharing, and emotional regulation among toddlers.
• Collaborate with team members to communicate effectively about each child's progress, needs, and any concerns related to disabilities or special education requirements.
• Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks to support overall well-being.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage classroom activities while maintaining patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
