Tow Truck Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing roadside assistance, towing vehicles, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to handle various towing equipment safely and efficiently.

Duties

• Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to transport vehicles safely.
• Perform automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing.
• Load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during roadside assistance calls.
• Manage conflicts professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction even in challenging situations.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Utilize manual transmission skills when operating various types of vehicles.
• Assist with minor automotive repairs when necessary, leveraging mechanic experience to ensure safe transportation of vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and vehicle conditions.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair are essential.
• Proficiency in operating tow trucks and forklifts safely.
• Excellent conflict management skills to handle customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
• Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and understand vehicle mechanics.
• Previous experience in driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles, is a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures while on the road.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $500.00 - $1,400.00 per week
