Tow Truck Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Heavy Tow Truck Operator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles (light and heavy), providing roadside assistance, and ensuring prompt, professional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Load and unload light duty, heavy duty and heavy equipment carefully using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, ensuring safety at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and managing expectations professionally.
• Maintain detailed records of all towing activities, including vehicle details, locations, and any incidents encountered during service.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on tow trucks to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or as a mechanic is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, manual transmissions, and automotive repair procedures.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL), with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as flatbeds, heavy equipment, and heavy duty tow trucks is preferred but not required.
• Excellent driving skills with experience handling tow trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Skilled in conflict management with the ability to remain calm under pressure during roadside emergencies or customer interactions.
