Tower Crane Engineer

Job Summary

The Tower Crane Engineer oversees the technical performance, installation planning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of tower cranes. The role ensures cranes operate safely and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise tower crane erection, climbing, dismantling, and relocation.
• Conduct technical assessments, load calculations, and crane positioning studies.
• Diagnose mechanical, structural, and operational issues and recommend solutions.
• Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and site teams on crane-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with UAE/GCC regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and safety standards.
• Maintain documentation including inspection reports, certifications, and maintenance logs.
• Provide technical training and guidance to erectors, operators, and electricians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tower Crane Engineer in the UAE or GCC.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of tower crane mechanics, load charts, and structural behavior.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements (DM, ADM, Trakhees, Civil Defense).
• Certification in crane inspection or engineering (LOLER, LEEA, TUV preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
