Trainee Lawyer (Tampa, FL)

BA Global Talent is looking for candidates in Tampa, Florida, to join a dynamic team as a Trainee Lawyer. You will play a crucial role within a consumer bankruptcy practice that is compassionate, takes pride in its work, and genuinely cares about getting optimal results for its clients. Responsibilities:

• Assist in all areas of the law firm practice, including client consultations and analyzing legal issues.
• Conduct legal research and assist with motion practice.
• Participate in 341 hearings and confirmation hearings (conducted via Zoom).
• Engage in heavy client interaction, including in-person meetings, phone calls, and email correspondence.
• Organize documents neatly and maintain the integrity of case files.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure optimal client results

Requirements:

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) is required.
• Bar Status: Candidates who will be taking the Florida Bar Exam in the following months will be considered.
• Must demonstrate a strong interest in learning and practicing consumer bankruptcy law.
• Must be based or willing to commute to the Tampa Bay area.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills with a professional demeanor and interpersonal skills for client-facing Zoom interactions.
• Compassionate, motivated to help others, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with bankruptcy procedures or previous experience as a legal assistant or scribe.

Benefits & Compensation:

• Retirement: Eligible for an employer-paid SEP retirement plan (25% of gross wages) starting on the 3rd year of employment.
• Time Off: 2 weeks vacation plus 8 paid holidays.

Schedule: Full-Time
