Trainee Procurement Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Trainee Procurement Engineer to join our team. This role is designed for recent graduates who want to build a career in procurement, supply chain, and vendor management. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of technical components and materials, ensuring smooth supply chain operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
• Support the negotiation of pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Help in preparing and processing purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand procurement requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
• Assist in conducting market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
• Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP or procurement software is a plus.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Location: Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi.
