Trainee Technologist - Chemical Pathology

Job Responsibilities:

• Core Responsibilities

Assist in performing all tasks assigned by seniors, support the maintenance of analyzers and stock in the Biochemistry Lab, and follow rules and guidelines set by the Infection Control Department and The Indus Hospital Policy.

• Laboratory Testing and Analysis

Support the analysis of laboratory findings and assist in conducting chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, and CSF; help check accuracy of results; and inform seniors regarding abnormal results for escalation to the concerned Dr./Consultant.

• Equipment Operation, QC, and ISO Compliance

Assist in calibrating and operating Biochemistry Lab instruments; help run daily quality controls, review LJ plots, run EQA under supervision, and follow infection control and ISO instructions as guided by seniors.

• Reporting, Documentation, and Inventory Handling

Support the issuance of reports, proper storage of abnormal samples, rejection or repetition of tests/samples per SOPs, and assist in daily inventory consumption and maintenance of data.

• Periodic and Other Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining stock of kits and consumables; help perform monthly/weekly analyzer maintenance as per procedures; support research activities; and perform after-hours duty when required under the direction of senior staff.

• BS - Medical Laboratory Technology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology
• Experience: Fresh Candidates
• Work Shifts: Willing to work in rotations.
