Aging Services - Remote in North Dakota - Training Coordinator
This position is a short-term temporary opportunity within Aging Services that has an end date of May 31, 2026.
As our Training Coordinator you will support ND Adult and Aging Services Division (AASD) by weaving person-centered competencies into professional development and quality management practices. The work you do will serve as a guide for supervisors, trainers, mentors, and quality assurance teams, helping them observe, rate, and document how competencies are demonstrated, while also providing meaningful recommendations for staff to continue to grow.
Your days will be a mix of conducting training needs analysis to identify what employees need most, planning how to prioritize that learning, and then delivering classroom, virtual, and field training to both internal and external partners. You will also take the lead in creating and developing training materials tailored to specific needs, supporting training administration processes, and keeping accurate, up to date training records that highlight participant progress and achievements.
This role is also about leading, by example you will show what good practice looks like by modeling the skills you are teaching. You will be hands on in critically examining how trainees are understanding and applying their learning, and you will adjust the program as needed to ensure success.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong coaching skills, creativity, and the ability to manage training programs with efficiency and organization. Great written and verbal communication skills will be key, and being an innovative thinker will help you shape training that inspires growth and development.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas education, human resources, social work, nursing, psychology, Business or another related field AND a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in training and development, teaching adult education, and evaluating competencies.

Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position will be remote in North Dakota or surrounding communities with the ability to travel on occasion.
