Transformation Lead - Battery line

The Transformation Lead - Battery Line acts as a strategic business partner to manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders, driving digital transformation initiatives across battery production operations. This role focuses on translating business challenges into scalable digital solutions that enhance efficiency, visibility, and value delivery across the end-to-end manufacturing ecosystem.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product Owners and business leaders across Battery Assembly, Quality, Warehousing, and Supply Chain to identify challenges and deliver digital solutions.
  • Develop strong business cases for digitization initiatives, prioritizing requirements based on ROI, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation timelines.
  • Represent and champion business requirements with Information Systems teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of digital tools.
  • Identify opportunities where technology can improve operational efficiency and actively drive adoption of digital platforms and tools.
  • Translate operational pain points into functional requirements, Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in early-stage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful post-implementation adoption through training and change management support.
  • Build deep domain expertise in manufacturing systems and actively engage across both business and IS workstreams.
  • Support end-to-end business process design using structured methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and VSDiA.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a quantitative discipline.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience driving system implementations and digital transformation in a 2W / 4W manufacturing environment, preferably within battery or EV production lines.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a reputed institute is desirable.

Must-Have Competencies

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing value chains, including production, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP PP, QM, MM, and WM modules.
  • Proven expertise in business process design using VSM and VSDiA frameworks.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills for ROI assessment and business value measurement.

Good-to-Have Competencies

  • Experience implementing Industry 4.0 and Digital Manufacturing solutions within factory environments.
  • Exposure to PLM, MES, and Ariba systems for integrated manufacturing operations.
  • Practical application of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies on the shop floor.
  • Strong capability in drafting system PRDs, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
