Job Overview

Emitrans Logistics is looking for a highly organized and proactive Transport Coordinator to oversee daily fleet operations, dispatch planning, and driver coordination. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient vehicle utilization, timely deliveries, cost control, and smooth communication between drivers, warehouse, clients, and management.

The ideal candidate must have strong operational control, the ability to work under pressure, and a clear understanding of UAE transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transport Planning & Dispatch Operations

• Plan and schedule daily transport requirements based on operational needs
• Allocate vehicles efficiently to optimize utilization and minimize idle time
• Coordinate loading and unloading schedules with warehouse team
• Ensure timely dispatch of vehicles as per client timelines
• Adjust routes based on traffic, urgency, and delivery priorities

2. Fleet & Driver Coordination

• Maintain regular communication with drivers for trip updates
• Monitor vehicle movement through GPS tracking systems
• Ensure drivers follow company policies and safety standards
• Coordinate driver duty schedules and trip assignments
• Handle emergency situations such as breakdowns, delays, or route diversions

3. Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure proper issuance and collection of trip sheets
• Verify delivery notes, gate passes, and proof of delivery (POD)
• Maintain accurate trip records and transport logs
• Coordinate documentation between operations, warehouse, and accounts
• Ensure compliance with UAE transport regulations and company SOPs

4. Operational Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare daily transport movement reports
• Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle utilization efficiency
• Track turnaround time and delivery performance
• Report operational delays and suggest corrective actions
• Maintain updated records of vehicle deployment and driver performance

5. Client & Vendor Coordination

• Communicate delivery status updates to clients when required
• Coordinate with external transport vendors (if applicable)
• Handle client queries related to transport schedules
• Support operations team in meeting SLA commitments

6. Cost Control & Efficiency

• Monitor trip planning to reduce unnecessary mileage
• Assist in tracking fuel usage and maintenance schedules
• Support management in improving operational efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
• 2–4 years of experience in transport coordination or fleet operations
• Experience in UAE transport operations is mandatory
• Experience in 3PL or logistics company preferred
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (filters, pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Knowledge of transport management systems (TMS) is an advantage
• Basic understanding of delivery documentation processes
• May require extended hours depending on operational requirements.
