Transport Coordinator – Job Description

A Transport Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods efficiently and safely. They ensure timely deliveries, proper documentation, and smooth communication between all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate daily transportation operations
Schedule shipments and assign vehicles/drivers
Communicate with transporters, drivers, and warehouse teams
Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery
Monitor and resolve delivery issues or delays
Maintain accurate records (AWB, POD, invoices, etc.)
Ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations
Coordinate loading and unloading activities
Handle customer queries regarding shipment status

Required Skills:
Good communication and coordination skills
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting
