Transport Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation and delivery activities across multiple sites.
• Assign drivers, vehicles, and delivery routes based on shipment requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor the status of shipments and deliveries, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation costs, fuel usage, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE transport laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Optimize routing and load planning for cost-efficiency and reduced transit times.
• Assist in managing third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders when needed.
• Generate and present reports related to fleet performance, KPIs, and delivery metrics.
• Support the Transport Manager in strategic planning and operational improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a transportation or logistics coordination role, preferably in the UAE
• Familiarity with UAE road networks, transportation laws, and customs clearance processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and MS Office tools.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English
