Key Responsibilities:
1. Transport Operations
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily school bus operations.
- Design and optimize routes and schedules to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Maintain up-to-date records of bus routes, stops, and student lists.
- Ensure all transport services are delivered in line with school policies and safety standards.
2. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all vehicles meet legal safety, insurance, and inspection requirements.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures for students during transport.
- Conduct regular safety drills and training for drivers and attendants.
- Maintain compliance with local transportation and child safety regulations.
3. Fleet Management
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of all school vehicles.
- Maintain detailed vehicle logs (fuel, mileage, repairs, etc.).
- Coordinate with mechanics or external workshops for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Manage fuel consumption and control related costs.
4. Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, bus attendants, and other transport staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance, leave, and performance.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure driver compliance with behavior and dress codes.
5. Communication and Coordination
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff regarding transport schedules and issues.
- Handle complaints, incidents, or emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with the school administration on transport budgets and planning.
6. Budgeting and Reporting
- Prepare and manage the annual transport budget.
- Track transport expenses and prepare monthly/annual reports.
- Recommend cost-saving measures without compromising safety or service quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management or a related field
- Minimum [3–5] years of experience in fleet or transport management (school experience an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport regulations.
- Proficiency in route planning software and MS Office tools.
- Valid driver’s license and transport management certification (if applicable).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
