Transportation Coordinator.

Reports to: Transportation Manager

Job Overview:

The primary function of the Transportation Coordinator is to coordinate day-to-day transportation
operations and manage all aspects of transportation discipline to include health & safety
compliances, route structures and development, personnel scheduling, workload assignments,
and drivers’ performance.

Working hours:

Full-time; From 7.30 am until 3.30 pm, 4 pm on staff meeting days, and 3 pm on Thursday.

Main job duties and responsibilities:

1. Coordinate daily operations of buses and vehicles supplied by the transport vendor
according to school schedules for students and staff.

2. Monitor daily student and staff transport operations, including route adjustments and
activity buses, and ensure suitable alternatives are arranged by the vendor when
required.

3. Oversee staff bus services to ensure compliance with school policy regarding designated
pick-up points and collective routes.

4. Prepare and update staff transport maps and assign new staff members to routes after
the Transportation manager's approval.

5. Prepare and record invoices received from the vendor, including violation records, then
submit them to the transportation manager for review.

6. Arrange additional buses or vehicles for staff outside working hours or during holidays, in
coordination with the vendors and smart transport Apps as required.

7. Conduct daily inspections of vendor buses (morning and afternoon) to ensure safety,
cleanliness, and compliance with school standards.

8. Manage the school Drivers on daily activities, so they adhere to strict schedules.


9. Monitor vehicle movements through GPS and camera systems provided by the vendor to
ensure adherence to approved routes and schedules.

10. Ensure vendor drivers comply with traffic laws, school health & safety policies, and
professional behavior standards.

11. Ensure & encourage the drivers to follow the Traffic law & Health, Safety policies and
procedures on all driving activities, to minimize incidents.

12. Prepare daily reports highlighting workflow, transportation challenges, and complaints
from staff or parents.

Job requirements:

Educational background and previous experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree.

2. Good command of English (speaking, reading, and writing).

3. 3-5 years’ experience in Transportation & Fleet management.
