The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the daily movement of light to heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role ensures timely deliveries, efficient routing, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimal utilization of company assets. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating multiple moving parts in a fast-paced transportation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Coordination:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment for deliveries, pickups, or service calls.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment usage to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet movements and assignments.
- Logistics Management:
- Develop and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
- Coordinate the movement of light to heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklifts, and specialized equipment.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery or scheduling issues promptly.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other relevant transportation regulations.
- Maintain vehicle inspection logs, maintenance schedules, and driver documentation.
- Support safety initiatives and conduct pre/post-trip inspections as required.
- Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and customers.
- Communicate schedules, delays, and operational updates clearly and effectively.
- Administration:
- Maintain transportation records including trip logs, delivery notes, fuel usage, and maintenance reports.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and reporting related to fleet operations.
- Support procurement of vehicles, equipment, and related services when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- 5-8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet coordination (preferably in a company handling both light and heavy-duty vehicles).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of transportation regulations and vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/fleet tracking software.
- Ability to work in an office and field environment.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
