Instructional Designers (10 FTEs)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Instructional Content: Create engaging and effective learning materials, including presentations, handouts, CBT modules, and job aids, using established templates and design standards.
- Apply Instructional Design Principles: Develop content that aligns with adult learning theory and instructional best practices, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and learner engagement.
- Engage in Proactive Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with strategic training goals and operational needs.
- Manage Project Timelines and Milestones: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress against key milestones, and address risks or delays to ensure timely delivery of training products.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work closely with SMEs to gather technical content, clarify complex information, and translate it into learner-friendly formats that meet training objectives.
- Review and Quality Assurance: Lead content reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with learning goals, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
- Contribute to Evaluation Efforts: Collect and organize learner feedback and assessment data to support the evaluation of training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design
- Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional technologies, including ADDIE
- Experience with technical training programs, with a preference for transit
- Knowledge and experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2
- Experience with Learning Management System platforms and authoring tools including Adobe Captivate (Classic and/or New version) and InDesign
- Experience holding working sessions with SMEs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Certification (PMP or similar)
- Experience with transit technical training programs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
