The Role

As a Transportation Mechanic , you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and maintenance of all vehicles and transportation equipment used across the property. This includes conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and providing preventive maintenance on all Golf carts and company vehicles to ensure they are always in working order. You will also contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance with local regulations in all transportation operations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Transportation Mechanic, you will need to:


  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on golf carts / all vehicles and transportation equipment to ensure they are functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle-related issues, ensuring that all repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance services on company vehicles according to the established schedules, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify problems and issues in vehicles, using diagnostic tools and systems to determine the root cause.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, air conditioning, and electrical components.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance work, repairs, and service logs for vehicles and transportation equipment.
  • Monitor fuel and oil levels, tire pressure, and other critical elements of vehicle performance.
  • Assist with scheduling maintenance and ensuring vehicles are ready for use as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate vehicle availability and resolve any transportation issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Work with suppliers to source quality parts and ensure vehicles are repaired using the most appropriate materials.
  • Manage and organize the vehicle maintenance inventory, ensuring that necessary parts and tools are available for ongoing operations.
  • Monitor the condition of vehicles and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary to maintain the fleet’s operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior mechanics or other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Ensure that vehicles are clean and ready for guest use at all times, maintaining a professional appearance for the fleet.
  • Perform emergency repairs and provide technical support during transportation-related incidents.
  • Follow safety protocols while working on vehicles and maintain a clean, safe working environment in the garage and related areas.
  • Perform any other duties as required to ensure the proper functioning of the transportation systems and equipment.
