About the Role:
Location: Remote – Michigan residents

As a remote Travel Buyer on Morley's Meetings & Incentives team, you'll source hotels, venues and vendors for programs, sometimes with tight deadlines, to help our travel staff and clients find the right locations for their events. One day it may be a small trip to a high-end, boutique property in an intriguing destination, and the next, a large meeting in a prominent city requiring multiple hotels. You’ll also play a crucial role in negotiating with and managing contracts.
You'll support programs in the U.S. and abroad for our Fortune and Global 500 clientele. If you enjoy variety and would love to work with suppliers around the world, this is the position for you.
What You'll Do

Identify and evaluate the best hotels based on client and sales requirements

Source hotels, venues, and vendors, providing availability reports to the team

Negotiate contracts with hotels, venues and vendors

Track negotiated savings, focusing on rates, amenities, cancellation policies and terms

Effectively negotiate client-specific contract terms

Conduct preliminary contract reviews

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendor partners

Manage day-to-day industry relationships and attend events as needed

Schedule and attend supplier visits

Maintain the highest level of quality, professionalism and integrity when working with suppliers and teammates

Adhere to all deadlines and turnaround times

Support sales and operations teams with VIP travel arrangements and other tasks as directed

Eligibility Requirements

Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge of the hospitality and travel industry

Able to travel to events as needed (occasional)

Able to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time. Flexible to support after standard work hours or on weekends if needed to complete high-priority projects or accommodate client / program schedules.
Nice to Have

Three or more years of experience in meeting planning or sourcing

Familiarity with sourcing platforms like Cvent or Hopskip
