American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures unit at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital, working 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday.

Radiology - Special Studies department within a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds
-
Adult and pediatric patients from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
-
Average of 25–30 patients per day

Equipment includes 1 Siemens single-plane, 2 Siemens bi-plane, and 1 Canon bi-plane angiography systems

EMR: Epic
-
8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
-
On-call is required and rotated fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff

No floating required
-
Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance

Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, with most recent experience within the last year

Active ARRT-R certification required

Current BLS required
-
License required if applicable

Epic EMR experience preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude

Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Former employees who held a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered

Department is led by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, supported by a diverse team ranging from new grads to long-tenured staff

Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions; departmental orientation is approximately 5 days but may be adjusted based on traveler needs
-
RTO requires manager approval

Black scrubs are required for technologists
