American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Round Rock, TX, performing nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and theranostic procedures in an acute care hospital setting.

Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving ambulatory and inpatient populations including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients
-
Procedures include planar, SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and theranostic procedures
-
5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

On-call required

Charting performed in EMR; images transferred to a PACS system
-
Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
-
ARRT (N) or CNMT required
-
BLS certification required (AHA only)

Active TX Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license required if applicable

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Performs nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and theranostic procedures per physician order and established protocol under general Radiologist supervision

Conducts equipment quality control per manufacturer standards, RAM license, and ACR requirements; collaborates with engineers and physicists to maintain optimal equipment performance

Administers radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications per protocol while adhering to all radiation safety policies, including pre-exam pregnancy screening and post-exam patient education

Communicates patient condition changes to nursing partners, physicians, and emergency response teams as needed, with ability to administer first aid

May serve as a trainer for new team members and students
