Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for an outpatient urgent care position at a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active ARRT(R) certification.

Details

  • Outpatient urgent care setting within a Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 562 staffed beds
  • Charting performed in Cerner
  • Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (8:30 AM–5:00 PM) with one 8-hour shift per pay period
  • On-call required as needed
  • Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray experience required
  • Active ARRT(R) and BLS certification required; AHA and Red Cross BLS accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)
  • Active IL state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
  • Any current or recent permanent or PRN employee of the hospital system must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
  • Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
  • All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
  • Travel pairs are not accepted
  • Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
  • Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation
