American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position at a 70-bed hospital in Portland, ME.

70-bed hospital facility located in Portland, ME

Respiratory Therapy unit with potential floating between NICU, pediatric, and adult units

Patient types and common diagnoses discussed during interview

Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
-
36 hours per week

Weekend rotation required; details discussed during interview

On-call required; details discussed during interview

EMR: Cerner (Pyxis also in use)

Holiday coverage expected; details discussed during interview

Current RRT credential required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year in specialty
-
Active compact or Maine (ME) state license required — license required if applicable

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
-
Flu vaccination required for clearance
-
SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration
-
2 professional references within the past year required; at least one must be from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge RN acceptable; peer references not accepted)

Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity

Must reside 100+ miles south or southwest of the facility

Orientation period is dependent on individual skillset and experience

Support structure includes Respiratory Department Leadership, 24/7 Hospitalist coverage, and 24/7 Intensivist availability for consult
