American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week night shift position at an academic medical center in Ohio.

Academic medical center setting with respiratory and neuro diagnostics unit
-
Work settings include Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
-
Weekend work is required

Floating between campuses may be required
-
GE ventilators used on unit
-
Local candidates are accepted

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
-
Active OH State License required (license required if applicable)

Required certifications: BLS, RRT
-
Preferred certifications: ACLS, CRT
-
HS diploma and college diploma and/or transcripts required; education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Proficiency in ventilator management including troubleshooting high pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation

Proficiency in airway management and suctioning
-
Experience with a wide range of medication delivery systems and respiratory medications

2 professional references required: at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal leadership capacity; charge RN acceptable as 2nd reference; no coworker references accepted

Prior travel experience is preferred but not required

Previous employees of this facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible

Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less

Ohio fingerprinting is required upon signing the contract and must be completed urgently — candidates outside Ohio within driving distance will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location; those at greater distances will be mailed a fingerprinting packet with instructions from the Credentialing team
