American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and travel experience required for a night shift hospital position.

Hospital-based Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
-
Adult critical care and Emergency Department patient population
-
Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms
-
Performs airway management including extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and sputum specimen collection
-
Administers medications via aerosol, MDI, and other delivery systems
-
Utilizes high flow nasal cannula and oxygen therapy
-
Epic charting system preferred
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
-
Weekend work every other weekend
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

RRT certification required, CRT not accepted
-
BLS and PALS certifications required
-
Prior travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted

Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

License required if applicable

Provides respiratory therapy services within an adult critical care and emergency department setting
-
Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of consideration
-
Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, all RTO must be finalized prior to consideration
-
No RTO can be requested during the first week of the assignment
-
Holiday coverage required if 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment; if 3 major holidays occur, one holiday RTO request may be considered
-
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day

Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
