Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and travel experience required for a night shift hospital position.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Adult critical care and Emergency Department patient population
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms
• Performs airway management including extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and sputum specimen collection
• Administers medications via aerosol, MDI, and other delivery systems
• Utilizes high flow nasal cannula and oxygen therapy
• Epic charting system preferred
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
• Weekend work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• RRT certification required, CRT not accepted
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Prior travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provides respiratory therapy services within an adult critical care and emergency department setting
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of consideration
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, all RTO must be finalized prior to consideration
• No RTO can be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage required if 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment; if 3 major holidays occur, one holiday RTO request may be considered
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
• Full compliance required to start on time
