Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of critical care experience in a Level 2 or 3 trauma facility for a 13-week night shift contract in Boston, MA.

Details

• PM night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Experience in both MICU and SICU settings required
• Participation on Code Blue team
• Familiar with lung protective ventilation strategies
• Experience with Drager XL and v500 ventilators preferred
• Level III NICU experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of recent experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 trauma facility
• Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU
• RRT certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Care license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• NPS and/or ACCS certification preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), and must include a performance evaluation; one reference must be within the last 12 months and the other within 3 years
• Candidate's permanent residence must be 30 miles or more from the facility to be eligible

• Make independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• First-time travelers will be considered provided they meet the minimum experience requirements
