Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Moberly, MO, requiring active MO or compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Services department of an acute care hospital setting
  • 12-bed emergency department with a patient ratio of 1:4–6
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, varied days
  • 13-week contract duration
  • EMR: EDIS/Medhost
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Active MO RN license or valid compact RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP — none may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
  • Valid US driver's license required for consideration
  • US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Deliver emergency nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care in the ED
  • Delegate and supervise patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
  • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Any solid scrub color is acceptable
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
  • Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
  • Blocked scheduling may be requested
