Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of L&D experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7p-7a (19:00–07:00)
• OB/GYN Combined unit in a regional health center serving Southeast Iowa
• L&D patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor; 3:1 for couplet care
• Uses intermediate fetal monitoring with Philips Tracevue equipment
• EHR: Meditech
• 36-hour work week standard
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the hospital to other units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. — AHA certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of L&D experience required (candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered with prior travel experience)
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Titers within the last 12 months required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start — no exceptions
